Six wedding venues within 30 minutes of Biarritz have rooms on site, from 18 at Château du Clair de Lune to 149 at Le Talaia MGallery. Brindos, Bassilour and Clair de Lune are the estates you can take over. Le Talaia, Maison Chiberta and the Grand Hôtel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz put the list to bed by the water.

Atmosphere and history for three of these houses sit in wedding venues in Biarritz. This page is the rooms table, the exclusive-hire rules, and the overflow plan. Figures below were checked on official sites in October 2026. Houses change room counts. Confirm before you hold a date.

Regina Experimental, 72 rooms on avenue de l’Impératrice, lists atrium privatisation for weddings, up to 365 guests if the hotel is taken over. Le Garage, 27 rooms across the street, can be fully privatised and shares the same group. Regina is closed for building work, with reopening planned for summer 2027. Treat that pair as a city-hotel option from then, not an estate.

Estates you can take over

Exclusive hire here means the Saturday is yours, and usually the rooms as well. Read the night-count before you compare the fee.

At Brindos, 1 allée du Château, Anglet, a dancing evening requires privatising the estate. Accommodation is included for a minimum of two nights. The official wedding page is explicit: in-house catering only, no outside traiteur, a wedding planner obligatory on a privatisation, guest numbers 30 days out, rooming list a month out. Privatisation runs from 16:00 on the day to midday two days later. The 29 château rooms and 10 lodges are the sleep. Seated dinner capacity is not on that page. Ask.

At Bassilour, 1562 rue Bassilour, Bidart, hiring the 150 square metre farm reception hall means booking the 10 farmhouse rooms: one night in low season, two in high season. A villa on the estate takes up to 15 more, two nights minimum. The wedding-advice page lists 24 rooms across the domaine. The farmhouse page lists 10 of 18 logements. Use 24 as the top of the range, and 10 as the rooms tied to the hall.

At Clair de Lune, 48 avenue Alan-Seeger, the Côté Terre room seats 180, or 250 with a paid extension, under a 120 square metre covered terrace. A wedding there requires privatising the hotel: 18 rooms for two nights, three on a long weekend or public-holiday bridge. The official hotel page says 18 rooms. ABC Salles, an events listing, says 20. Treat 18 as the house figure, 17 to 20 as the range you will hear. The English and Spanish events pages close the room from the second weekend of July to late August. Confirm the 2027 calendar with the house.

Hotels where everyone sleeps by the beach

Le Talaia, 1 carrefour Hélianthé, reopened in the MGallery collection with 149 rooms a short walk from the Côte des Basques. Accor lists a banquet maximum of 110 in WAVE and in SUNSET. The hotel FAQ confirms private receptions and 11 event spaces. This is the option when the whole list should walk to the sea, and when 18 estate rooms will not do.

Maison Chiberta, 104 boulevard des Plages, Anglet, has 58 rooms, including 38 twins, and lists weddings on its own events page. Combined Chiberta rooms reach 120 in theatre on the hotel events page. The ocean is about 300 metres. Same owner group as Talaia.

The Grand Hôtel Spa and Thalasso in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, 52 rooms on the sand, is 15 to 20 minutes from Biarritz centre. Salon Arnaga seats 20 at round tables. It suits a dinner of up to 20, or a cocktail of 35, when the bay matters more than a Biarritz postcode.

When the guest list outgrows the rooms

Hold a block at a second hotel, name it in the invitation, and run a shuttle with slack for August. Set a deadline for the block, usually six to eight weeks out, so unused rooms go back to the house. The drive between Biarritz and San Sebastián is about 48 km and 35 minutes without traffic, up to 70 minutes on a summer Saturday. Overflow on the Spanish side is a timetable problem. Airports, trains, and day-of coaches sit in getting guests to the Basque coast. The two-town map is in Biarritz vs San Sebastián.

Guests who book late in June or September will pay more, or sleep further out.

How to choose

Start with guest count against room count. Under 50 can live at Clair de Lune or Bassilour if the close family sleeps on site. 80 to 120 at Brindos still needs an overflow hotel unless the lodges take a share. 149 at Talaia is the only house in this list that swallows a large destination list without a second postcode.

Then budget. Estate takeovers bundle nights. Hotel minimum spends replace a simple room hire. The ranges are in what a Basque coast wedding costs.

Then beach or countryside. Talaia, Chiberta and the Grand Hôtel give you a walk to the water. Brindos, Bassilour and Clair de Lune give you a park, a farm, or a lake, and a car to the Grande Plage. Month still moves availability. June and September remain the months in best months for a Basque coast wedding. See Biarritz for the overview.

When you write to us, say the headcount and whether guests must sleep on the property.

Questions we are asked

Which wedding venues near Biarritz have rooms for guests?

Six houses within 30 minutes have rooms on site, from 18 at Château du Clair de Lune to 149 at Le Talaia MGallery. Brindos, Bassilour and Clair de Lune can be taken over. Le Talaia, Maison Chiberta and the Grand Hôtel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz put everyone to bed by the beach.

Do you have to take the whole hotel?

At Clair de Lune, a wedding in the Côté Terre room requires privatising the 18 rooms for two nights, three on a long weekend. At Brindos, a dancing evening requires privatising the estate, with rooms for a two-night minimum. Bassilour ties the farm reception hall to the 10 farmhouse rooms.

Which venues are on the beach?

Le Talaia sits a few hundred metres from the Côte des Basques. Maison Chiberta is about 300 metres from the Anglet shore. The Grand Hôtel in Saint-Jean-de-Luz is on the sand. Brindos, Bassilour and Clair de Lune are inland.

What if the guest list is larger than the rooms?

Book a second hotel nearby, run a shuttle, and set a room-block deadline in the invitation. The drive between Biarritz and San Sebastián is about 48 km and 35 minutes without traffic, up to 70 minutes on a summer Saturday, so overflow on the other side of the border needs a timetable.

How does this differ from the Biarritz venues guide?

That guide is about atmosphere and history. This one is rooms-first. Use both. Atmosphere is in wedding venues in Biarritz. Sleeping arrangements are here.
